Job summary

Heath Consultants Incorporated is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across Azure, hybrid, and on‑prem environments. You will collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and business teams to strengthen security and protect enterprise data.

The role emphasizes hands‑on defense, threat modeling, incident response, and governance aligned with NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and SOC 2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity engineering, or security operations.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 security environments.
• Strong understanding of IAM, cloud security architecture, and DevSecOps.
• Experience with SIEM/XDR platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.
• Knowledge of NIST, CIS Benchmarks, secure SDLC, and risk management frameworks.
• Experience with WAFs, firewalls, and enterprise security controls.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls that protect systems, infrastructure, and data.
• Partner with IT, infrastructure, and business teams to strengthen cybersecurity across the organization.
• Secure Azure cloud environments, workloads, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Manage IAM solutions including Azure AD/Entra ID.
• Implement RBAC, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
• Monitor and improve security posture using Defender, Sentinel, and related tools.
• Manage WAFs and cloud-native security technologies.
• Embed security into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments and threat modeling.
• Support incident response, investigations, and remediation.
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies aligned with NIST, SOC 2, CIS.
• Drive data protection initiatives including DLP, encryption, governance.
