Strategic Talent Consultant | Transforming How Companies Build Engineering, Data, Cybersecurity and GTM Teams with Proven Hiring Strategies

About the Role

We’re supporting a cybersecurity team that is actively shaping how a major enterprise manages security across financial services, manufacturing, high-tech, and more. Backed by executive leadership with direct access to the CEO, this team gets the resources and autonomy to engineer modern, scalable security systems without red tape or repetitive work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Engineer and implement security controls across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, and SaaS platforms)
• Deliver and validate security requirements for applications, networks, cloud infrastructure, data analytics platforms, automation projects, and more
• Collaborate with architects to translate designs into practical, tested security controls
• Embed security into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
• Participate in threat modeling and identify technical risks before they impact delivery
• Recommend improvements to existing security frameworks and adapt control sets to evolving cloud deployments
• Support security policies, IAM frameworks (SSO, MFA, OAuth), and incident response workflows
• Communicate security strategies clearly to technical teams and executive stakeholders
• Actively contribute to agile ceremonies and mentor peers through cross functional collaboration

What You Bring to the Table

• 5+ years of cloud engineering or cloud security experience (AWS and/or Azure required; OCI and GCP a plus)
• 3–5 years of cybersecurity experience, including CI/CD pipelines and Agile/DevOps exposure
• Experience with infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, and container security preferred
• Proven track record in delivering and validating security controls across complex systems
• Hands on familiarity with IAM, firewalls, IDS, log management, and incident response tools
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills - you can engage stakeholders from developers to executives
• Confident communicator who can explain risk and strategy in business friendly language
• Comfortable leading technical conversations and making decisions in fast-paced settings

Preferred Certifications

• Required: CISSP or CISM (or equivalent experience)
• Preferred: Cloud certifications like CCSP, CCSK, or cloud specific credentials (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer)
