Job summary

G3 Innovative Solutions, LLC seeks a Senior Cloud Assessor to evaluate and strengthen security of mission-critical cloud platforms for a federal client in Washington, DC. The role blends cloud security engineering, risk assessment, incident readiness, and cybersecurity strategy to improve resilience and compliance.

Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret clearance and 8+ years in cybersecurity, including 3+ in cloud security; certifications such as CISSP/CCSP/GIAC GCIH are preferred,

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of cybersecurity experience.
• At least three years in a cloud security role.
• Deep knowledge of security in cloud environments and distributed enterprise architectures.
• Expertise in security architecture, threat modeling, network defense, data protection, and risk assessment.
• Experience with incident response, security log correlation, and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Assess cloud architectures, security controls, and monitoring capabilities to identify risks and improvements.
• Lead development of cloud security policies, incident-response plans, and cyber resilience strategies.
• Design and improve secure cloud architectures and security monitoring across enterprise platforms.
• Analyze security data to detect, investigate, remediate, and prevent cyber threats.
• Advise engineering and application teams on secure coding, data protection, and architecture practices.
• Coordinate vulnerability management and communicate remediation priorities.
• Support COMSEC operations and cryptographic key management systems as required by the mission.
• Evaluate compliance with NIST guidance, CNSSI terminology, DoD policies, and federal standards.
• Coordinate with government and industry security partners, lead technical workstreams, and mentor junior personnel.
• Prepare risk findings and executive briefings for cross-functional stakeholders.
