Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks a Senior Systems Architect who lives near the National Capital Region to join a premier, enterprise-scale cybersecurity program supporting a major federal civilian agency.

As a systems architect, you will drive protection of sensitive data, modernize the agency's cyber posture, and implement automation across cloud and on-premises environments, compliant with Zero Trust and NIST SP 800-207.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Cybersecurity IT
• US Citizenship required
• Active Public Trust 6c or ability to obtain
• AWS Solution Architect certification – mandatory
• Experience with cloud-based solutions (3+ years) and AWS certifications a plus
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in a federal environment
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, EDR, CDM, IAM, and GovCloud systems
• Familiarity with Zero Trust and NIST SP 800-207

Responsibilities

• Supports architectural design across enterprise domains and mission requirements
• Translates customer requirements into actionable architectural direction
• Develops IT solutions aligned with business and technical needs
• Defines system structures and selects appropriate technologies
• Documents technical requirements and architecture quality attributes
• Leads architecture activities and ensures governance compliance
• Designs cloud architectures and security controls for CI/CD DevOps
• Supports integration of cybersecurity tools and identity platforms
• Advises on modernization, cloud migration, and secure system design
• Participates in architecture governance boards
