Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States seeks a Senior Security Architect to lead cloud security architecture across public, private, and hybrid environments, guiding secure design and implementations aligned with business and regulatory needs.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with IT, security, and application development teams, and drive adoption of IaC, threat modeling, and incident response playbooks to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in security architecture or cloud security.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• GIAC and cloud certifications are preferred (e.g., GCAD, GCSA, GCLD, GPCS; SC-100/SC-500; AWS).

Responsibilities

• Architect and articulate a scalable, resilient vision for secure public, private and hybrid clouds.
• Lead security architecture design with SaaS, PaaS and IaaS across environments.
• Provide guidance on secure design, build, testing and deployment of cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate with security, architecture and engineering leads.
• Establish enterprise standards for secure, compliant, and resilient solutions.
• Draft cybersecurity strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements (CMMC, NIST).
