Meet the Team

As the Cloud Security Architect within the Security and Trust Organization, you will set the strategic vision and direction for our automation capabilities to measure, monitor, and remediate security risks in the cloud. This key technical role supports a multi-functional team delivering security solutions to business and IT teams within Cisco. The successful candidate will be excited to innovate new ideas to identify cloud security risks at scale and drive security initiatives to bring ideas to fruition.

Your Impact

• Conceptualize, design, and architect security solutions for multi-cloud environments.
• Provide end-to-end technical and architectural direction for cloud security automation tools.
• Assess emerging security trends in the cloud and create policies and standards for adoption within Cisco.
• Collaborate with teams within the Security and Trust Organization and with partners to align on the converged security tooling vision.
• Work with Security engineering and Security Services & Operations teams to build and operationalize the security tool set.
• Participate in vendor assessments of security tooling capabilities to evolve the security tool stack continually.
• Invest in proof of concept of emerging tools and tool refreshes.

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security architecture and/or engineering, with a BS/MS in cybersecurity, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience architecting solutions with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure), with in-depth understanding of their service catalogs, security offerings, and automation opportunities.
• Experience with Python and/or Go, Rust, Java.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep experience in cloud service architecture and implementing security controls, including CI/CD security and cloud guardrails.
• Experience performing threat modeling and design reviews to assess security implications and mitigating controls.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of presenting to both business and technical audiences with clarity and brevity.
