Job summary

Iridium is seeking an IT Security (Cloud) Analyst to join our IT Security department. You’ll establish security standards and solutions for Iridium’s cloud services and gain experience securing cloud-based solutions for a commercial satellite telecommunications organization.

You’ll need 5+ years in IT Security / Cloud Analyst, strong AWS and Azure knowledge, and solid troubleshooting across cloud, network, and application layers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in IT Security / Cloud Analyst or similar role.
• Familiarity with cloud security services in AWS and Azure.
• Strong troubleshooting across cloud, network, and application layers.
• Strong communication skills; able to present analyses and issues to stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with ability to think critically and solve problems.
• Ability to manage upward and be proactive in communication.
• Confident in building valuable relationships and taking ownership of work.
• Willingness to continuously learn and improve.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cloud security risk and coordinate remediation timelines with account owners, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Triage and remediate findings from CSPM tooling (AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty) by severity and business impact.
• Monitor and respond to cloud-native security events across multi-account AWS environments.
• Partner with Cloud Engineering to embed security in CI/CD, IaC, and deployment workflows.
• Use and maintain cloud security runbooks, SOPs, and hardened baseline standards.
• Configure and tune security tooling, IAM policies, SCPs, guardrails, and automated compliance checks.
• Maintain and utilize scripts and automation for repeatable security operations tasks.
