Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a senior cloud platform engineer to partner with software engineering, cloud operations, and security teams. The role emphasizes building and operating secure, scalable cloud products across Azure and AWS environments.

You will lead infrastructure as code, automation, observability, and reliability engineering, while mentoring engineers and driving operational excellence across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, IS, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, or SRE.
• Strong Azure/AWS cloud design and support experience in enterprise.
• Experience with IaC: Pulumi, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, security controls, and governance.
• Experience with observability platforms (Dynatrace, etc.).
• Automation development using TypeScript, Python, PowerShell, Bash.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple teams to operate secure, reliable cloud products.
• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure via IaC (Pulumi, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Build reusable infrastructure templates and automation frameworks.
• Support AWS environments (networking, IAM, monitoring, security).
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Configure observability with dashboards, logging, alerting, and runbooks.
• Lead incident response, RCA, and reliability improvements.
• Mentor engineers on cloud tech, observability, and automation.
