Job summary

The Walt Disney Company in Glendale, CA is seeking an experienced engineer to build and operate high‑quality production systems across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will design scalable, observable services and automate infrastructure‑as‑code to support the Disney film studios portfolio.

You will work with Terraform, Ansible, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools to ensure reliability, security, and rapid development across large data center and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of related work experience.
• Comfortable with public cloud providers (AWS, Google, Azure).
• Strong knowledge of system management languages (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with Linux/Windows OS management.
• Multiple scripting languages (Python, GO, Ruby, or Swift).
• Authentication tools such as Active Directory, LDAP, Ping Identity.
• Observability tools (DataDog, New Relic, Grafana).
• Data center, network, and application architectures.
• Systems security (key management, encryption, vulnerability management).
• Containerization and PaaS (Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes).
• CI tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

Responsibilities

• Build and operate high‑quality production systems.
• Design systems to enable rapid development, high availability, and observability.
• Maintain and improve reliability of services and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues across the stack, including cloud resources.
• Collaborate to ensure cloud‑native, scalable services that are easily operated.
• Create self‑healing infrastructure‑as‑code and automate everything.
• Ensure security best practice is at the forefront of all solutions.
