AbbVie is seeking an Operations Quality Senior Systems Engineer to lead design and deployment of cloud-based platforms for Quality and Operations, including QMS, LMS, DMS, and artwork management. You will drive data analytics initiatives and leverage AI to automate processes in a regulated environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS/Azure, strong SDLC knowledge, and expertise in modern programming languages.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 6 years’ relevant experience; Master’s with 5 years’ experience; PhD with 0 years’ experience.
Extensive hands-on experience developing and deploying applications in AWS or Azure cloud.
Demonstrated track record of creative technology implementations that have advanced quality or operations outcomes.
Strong working knowledge of the SDLC (waterfall and agile).
Experience with Java or other modern programming languages (Python, Node.js, etc.).
Demonstrated understanding and delivery of AI and analytics.
Excellent written and oral English communication skills for technical audiences.
Experience in running technology evaluations in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Lead design, operation, and optimization of large-scale cloud services (AWS) supporting QMS, LMS, DMS, artwork, and data analytics platforms.
Troubleshoot complex system issues and tune performance for enterprise-scale applications.
Architect and develop robust, scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native solutions using REST APIs, microservices, and containers.
Create Agile, test-driven development workflows for regulated systems with GxP and compliance requirements.
Manage full SDLC, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, testing, and regional cloud deployments.
Ensure adherence to corporate policies regarding code of conduct, safety, GxP, data security, and SDLC.
Conduct technology assessments and evaluate emerging solutions, including AI/ML for quality operations.
Implement security best practices and collaborate with QA, IT, Regulatory, and business stakeholders.
Engineer platform-as-a-product solutions offering self-service capabilities across quality, operations, and compliance.
Integrate generative AI and analytics to enable intelligent automation and predictive quality monitoring.
Leverage AWS expertise to architect high-performance, cost-optimized cloud solutions for global operations.
