Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a senior public policy leader to navigate cloud computing advocacy within the US defense and national security space.

You will work with senior government decision makers, policymakers, and the Intelligence Community to shape policy outcomes that benefit customers and the business. You will coordinate the Intelligence Authorization Act process, build coalitions, and guide cross-functional teams to ensure public policy goals align with business priorities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of public policy, government relations, community relations, public affairs, or corporate social responsibility experience.
• Current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance.
• Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience working with Intelligence or Appropriations Committees in the US Congress.

Responsibilities

• Partner across Public Sector Business, Public Policy, Security, Legal, and Communications teams to align priorities.
• Anticipate challenges as the public policy landscape evolves.
• Build policymaker awareness of the cloud computing business model and drive policy that benefits customers.
• Advance advocacy with Intelligence Oversight, Authorization, and Appropriations Congressional Committees.
• Liaise with third party institutions in the US intelligence space and coordinate policy objectives with company priorities.
