Job summary

Threadneedle group is seeking a senior Cloud Engineer to design, provision and govern complex cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure using infrastructure as code, DevOps tools, and GitOps. You will lead design and deployment efforts, acting as a product owner for cloud services and guiding secure, scalable migrations.

You will mentor peers, share knowledge, and help optimize cost and performance while aligning with security standards in a hybrid in-office setting with in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4-years).
• 5-7+ years of relevant work experience required.
• 5+ years engineering and integration experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).
• Deep understanding of IAM and core IaaS services (compute, storage, networking).
• 2+ years of infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM templates).
• Strong analytical and customer service abilities.
• Ability to coach and mentor experienced engineering staff.
• Excellent communication across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of cloud services aligned with security and standards.
• Act as product owner for cloud services within the Cloud Engineering team.
• Automate provisioning of cloud services with IaC and GitOps techniques.
• Document service designs, usage, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Guide complex cloud migrations and cloud-native refactoring efforts.
• Mentor peers and share knowledge with junior team members.
