Job summary

Temporal Technologies seeks a backend infrastructure engineer to strengthen Temporal Cloud’s core platform. You will own HA/DR, automate control-plane operations, and scale a multi-tenant SaaS data layer, working across PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and cloud services.

You’ll design deployment pipelines, improve reliability, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to reduce blast radius while accelerating safe delivery. Strong Go and DevOps mindset encouraged.

Qualifications

• Backend/infra oriented development with a cloud focus.
• Experience on a control plane team for cloud-based microservices.
• Background building or operating multi-tenant SaaS apps.
• Familiarity with density-oriented cloud provider architectures.
• Strong PostgreSQL or similar relational DB experience.
• Design for high availability and scale, managing compute/traffic at scale.
• Bias toward building tools rather than just configuring.
• CLI and DevOps fluency.
• Nice to have data pipelining exposure.

Responsibilities

• Own HA/DR initiatives and continuous regional failover.
• Automate control plane operations for reliability and developer efficiency.
• Scale and optimize the data storage and processing stack (DBs, data lanes).
• Redesign the deployment path from commit to production with robust tooling.
• Build reliable CI/CD pipelines for the control plane.
