Job summary

the company Technologies in the United States (cloud platform foundations team) seeks a backend engineer focusing on cloud infrastructure. You will build and operate core systems with emphasis on reliability, scalability, and automation, shaping how users interface with the platform via APIs, CLI, Terraform provider, SDKs, and Kubernetes operator.

You will collaborate with engineers and product managers to automate critical ops, enhance a multi-tenant control plane, and improve CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

Backend engineering experience with a cloud/infrastructure focus.
Experience on a control plane team for cloud-based microservices.
Background building or operating multi-tenant SaaS applications.
Strong Postgres experience and familiarity with relational databases.
Bias toward building tools rather than configuring
Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) — Enabling continuous regional failover and improving platform resilience.
Control Plane Automation — Automating operations to improve reliability and developer efficiency.
Database Performance and Optimization: scale data layer while controlling latency and availability.
Deployment Plane: redesign of path from commit to production with strong tooling and systems design.
CI/CD for Control Plane — Building reliable pipelines for safer rollouts and better test coverage.
