Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr Platform Engineer I for a remote, permanent role. The candidate will help design and evolve secure, scalable cloud capabilities while advancing automation, observability, and self-service platform tooling.

This role requires a strong background in Azure IaaS/PaaS, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code. The position is full-time, with benefits and a competitive salary on a W2 basis.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cloud platform engineering or DevOps with hands-on IaaS, PaaS, AI, and containers.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with DevSecOps and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Implement and contribute to the design of platform environments across cloud compute, storage, networking, and runtime layers leveraging Azure IaaS and PaaS.
• Deploy and operate containerized platform-native runtime services.
• Implement infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reusable platform components and automation frameworks based on platform patterns and standards.
• Implement security controls and policy enforcement per platform standards.
• Implement identity, access, and secrets management patterns.
• Enable compliance and governance through automated guardrails.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions and support observability.
• Enable event-driven and asynchronous communication patterns across systems.
• Collaborate with team members and share knowledge.
