Job summary

Medidata, a Dassault Systèmes brand, is hiring a Sr. Staff Cloud Platform Engineer in a hybrid Iselin, NJ setting. You will own Lakehouse components from design to deployment, partnering with Infrastructure to run scalable analytics systems.

The role emphasizes data engineering best practices, robust pipelines, and data governance in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. You will work with Python and a GitOps-driven mindset, delivering end-to-end analytics features for product developers and

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience building and operating reliable data pipelines.
Experience with distributed processing and query engines such as Apache Spark and Trino.
Experience implementing dbt in production environments, including modeling, testing and documentation.
Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg in production environments.

Responsibilities

Take end-to-end ownership of Lakehouse components from design to deployment, with batch and streaming patterns.
Collaborate with Data Ops and Product teams to integrate data sources and design efficient data flows.
Write RFCs, lead technical discussions, and mentor Analytics Engineers.
Engage with stakeholders to translate monitoring and analytics requirements into actionable projects.
Participate in team rituals and continuously improve data ingestion and exposure.
