Job summary

Maximus is seeking an IT Architect - Cloud Platform to lead enterprise platform ecosystems across cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, and data platforms. This remote role defines architecture strategy, governance, and engineering standards to ensure secure, scalable, and developer-friendly platforms.

The role requires design authority at scale, mentoring for engineers, and collaboration with security and compliance teams to align with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud, platform engineering, DevSecOps, or infrastructure architecture roles.
• Proven track record designing and scaling enterprise cloud platforms on AWS.
• Deep expertise in DevSecOps, secure SDLC, and software supply chain security.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and cloud native architectures at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise SaaS and PaaS platform architectures and deployment frameworks for scalability, security, and efficiency.
• Lead evaluation and design of cloud platform solutions addressing business, operational, and technical requirements.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and consultation on cloud platform technologies to project teams and stakeholders.
• Design and maintain platform infrastructure, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote cloud architecture standards, automation, and DevSecOps practices.
