Job summary

Maximus is hiring an IT Architect - Cloud Platform to lead enterprise platform ecosystems across cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, and data platforms. This remote role focuses on architecture strategy, governance, and secure, scalable engineering standards while guiding multiple teams.

Responsibilities include designing scalable SaaS/PaaS architectures, leading CI/CD and IaC efforts, and driving platform modernization with a focus on security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud, platform engineering, DevSecOps, or infrastructure architecture roles.
• Proven track record designing and scaling enterprise cloud platforms on AWS.
• Deep expertise in DevSecOps, secure SDLC, and software supply chain security.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and cloud-native architectures at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise SaaS/PaaS platform architectures.
• Lead cloud platform evaluation and architectural recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project teams.
• Define HA/DR and security posture for platforms.
• Lead CI/CD, IaC, testing frameworks, and deployment processes.
• Drive GitOps adoption and platform standards.
• Collaborate across engineering, security, and operations teams.
• Establish governance for cost, security, and compliance.
