Job summary

NISC is seeking a software developer to join our Platform Team to build cloud-based services and security solutions that power our technology ecosystem. You’ll work with engineers to develop platform capabilities supporting application development, security, and scalable experiences for users.

The role focuses on cloud technologies, IAM, and portal experiences. You’ll enjoy solving complex challenges and driving improvements to strengthen NISC's products and services.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development or infrastructure experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Springboot, Angular; containerization with Docker.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of IAM, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect or SAML.
• CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong application security and secure SDLC.
• Experience with AWS and SSO/IDP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance cloud-native applications and platform services.
• Maintain and improve complex software independently.
• Translate complex user requirements into software solutions.
• Build identity, authentication, and access management features.
• Create, test, and deploy scalable APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with architects and product stakeholders to optimize performance.
• Research and implement new features with the team.
• Leverage generative AI tools to boost productivity.
• Follow industry best practices and stay current with tech trends.
• Other duties as assigned.
