Job summary

Alteryx Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Data Plane Transport team within Cloud Platform Engineering. You will build scalable backend services in Go and contribute to frontend work with TypeScript/React when needed, delivering secure connectivity across AWS and GCP.

You’ll own initiatives end-to-end, mentor others, participate in on-call rotations, and help shape architectural decisions in a collaborative, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development with Go and REST APIs.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native apps (AWS/GCP).
• Solid networking understanding (HTTP/TLS, DNS, service mesh).
• Design for scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Ability to troubleshoot across apps, infra, and services.
• Experience CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern dev practices.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs in Go.
• Lead secure connectivity solutions including service registration and orchestration.
• Own complex initiatives end-to-end from design to production support.
• Design cloud-native services for AWS and GCP emphasizing scalability and security.
• Contribute to frontend apps using TypeScript/React when needed.
• Investigate and resolve issues spanning app code, infra, and networks.
• Drive automated testing, observability, monitoring, and reliability improvements.
• Mentor engineers and participate in design reviews and cross-team coordination.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and other teams; participate in on-call.
