Job summary

Center for Elders’ Independence seeks a Principal Cloud Platform Engineer to design, deploy, operate, and improve CEI’s Azure and Fabric platform. You will automate deployments, enforce security standards, and ensure observable, reliable production services across data, apps, and AI workloads.

The role requires strong Azure skills, IaC, CI/CD, and collaboration with security, data, and infrastructure teams to support enterprise integrations and healthcare data environments.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure serverless computing and related services.
• Experience with IaC and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault, networking, and secure connectivity.
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell or Python and Azure CLI.
• Experience in incident response, root-cause analysis, and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, operate, and improve CEI's Azure and Fabric platform.
• Automate deployments and enforce security and operational standards.
• Establish development, QA, and production environments with access controls.
• Provision resources using IaC (Bicep, ARM, Terraform).
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for cloud apps and data services.
• Implement centralized logging, monitoring, and dashboards for production.
• Troubleshoot incidents and drive root-cause analysis.
• Manage identities, secrets, and secure connectivity with CEI teams.
• Define standards for naming, tagging, backup, and production readiness.
• Review vendor cloud components for architecture and support alignment.
• Monitor platform performance, capacity, and cost; propose improvements.
• Create runbooks and docs to enable teams.
