Job summary

AlixPartners is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to support and build AI-enabled cloud platforms on Azure. You will work on GitHub-based delivery, Terraform IaC, and containerized workloads, with production‑grade reliability and security in mind.

The role is hybrid across multiple U.S. offices (Southfield, MI; Chicago, IL; Dallas/Houston, TX; New York, NY) and requires strong collaboration with security and operations teams.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Computer Science, MIS, or related field preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of progressive experience supporting and operating cloud platforms, preferably in a Microsoft Azure–centric environment.
• Hands‑on experience supporting AI‑enabled or data‑intensive platforms, including exposure to Azure AI or LLM services.
• Practical experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, supporting multi‑environment deployments.
• Experience using GitHub for source control and CI/CD, with exposure to GitOps‑style workflows.
• Experience supporting containerized workloads and cloud‑native application platforms.
• Exposure to data, analytics, or AI‑adjacent technologies (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks) preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP is a plus.
• Experience operating in production‑oriented service environments, including participation in on‑call or 24x7 support models.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, and improve AI-enabled platforms on Azure.
• Manage cloud platforms across Azure, AWS, and GCP with emphasis on Azure PaaS and automation-first designs.
• Monitor performance, reliability, and cost for AI and non-AI workloads.
• Ensure production environments meet security and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to GitHub-based delivery workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
