Job summary

AlixPartners is seeking a Systems Senior Engineer to support AI-enabled platforms and cloud workloads on Azure. The role emphasizes GitHub-based delivery, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) across Azure, AWS, and GCP.

You will participate in 24x7 production support, drive security and cost optimization, and collaborate with security, architecture, and operations teams. Hybrid work model with office locations in multiple cities.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in CS or MIS, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of experience supporting and operating cloud platforms, Azure-centric.
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled/cloud platforms, including Azure AI/LLM services.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code across environments.
• Experience using GitHub for source control and CI/CD; exposure to GitOps workflows.
• Experience supporting containerized workloads and cloud-native platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP is a plus.
• Experience operating in production-oriented service environments, including on-call or 24x7 support.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment, operation, and improvement of AI-enabled platforms on Azure.
• Participate in engineering and operations of cloud platforms across Azure, AWS, and GCP, with emphasis on Azure services.
• Monitor, analyze, and remediate performance, reliability, and cost for AI and non-AI workloads.
• Ensure platform scalability, security, and compliance for production environments.
• Contribute to GitHub-based delivery workflows and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Author, update, and maintain Terraform-based IaC for repeatable deployments.
• Follow IaC standards using Terraform, ARM, Bicep, JSON, and PowerShell.
• Support containerized platforms and cloud-native architectures.
• Participate in 24x7 production support for mission-critical systems.
• Maintain runbooks and operational documentation.
• Communicate platform health and incidents to stakeholders.
