Reporting to the AVP of Clinical Technologies, the Senior Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for activities related to the Platform and Infrastructure supporting Radiology Partner’s Clinical Applications. The Senior Cloud Platform Engineer works closely with architects, engineers, and software developers to ensure the Platform is optimized to function in the cloud with a heavy emphasis on security, performance, and controlling cost.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Enterprise Architects, Software Developers, and Vendor Management to deliver and support cloud platform capabilities, vendor onboarding, and infrastructure solutions that enhance automation, resiliency, and reliability of Clinical Applications.
• Design, build, and maintain core systems such as CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, and monitoring tools, while ensuring scalability across multiple cloud regions and promoting reusable enterprise-wide infrastructure patterns.
• Automate platform operations using orchestration, configuration management tools, and infrastructure-as-code to streamline provisioning, installation, configuration, and lifecycle management of Clinical Applications.
• Provide expert consulting and support to resolve deployment and management issues, minimize operational impact on Radiologists, and proactively mitigate software, security, and workflow risks.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize platform performance by monitoring resource utilization, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and assessing technology trends for process improvements.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s in IT/Computer Science or 15+ years equivalent experience; 5+ years in healthcare IT (Enterprise Imaging); 5+ years with radiology applications (PACS, EMRs, VNAs, Voice Recognition); 10+ years in Linux OS; experience with virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
• Deep knowledge of DICOM and HL7; experience with interoperability standards in radiology systems
• 5+ years with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP); cloud deployment technologies; Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation); cloud storage and data migration; cloud and on-prem compute, storage, networking
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, Ansible); containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); system security best practices; cloud connectivity and security (transport, storage, key management); network infrastructure (load balancing, TCP/IP, HTTP, gRPC, DNS); databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this position is $140,000-$170,0000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
