Job summary

Dive CAE, Berlin, is seeking a Senior Platform & Backend Engineer to help scale a cloud-native simulation platform. You will contribute to infrastructure, data pipelines, and high-performance Python services across multi-tenant deployments.

Join a collaborative team working with Kubernetes, Temporal, Grafana, and PostgreSQL to deliver robust backend systems and scalable cloud solutions for engineering customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3+ years of platform/backend engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, ArgoCD and Terraform
• Experience with Grafana stack and PostgreSQL
• Proficient in REST, WebSocket and RPC communications
• Strong collaboration and ownership in cross-functional teams
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and scalable services

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure, building a scalable, redundant, and secure foundation to our product
• Manage database and storage solutions to ensure terabytes of data are stored, retrieved, and maintained effectively
• Improve observability of our platform by extending metrics, logging, and tracing
• Develop and extend Python web services, with emphasis on robust business logic
• Build durable workflows using Temporal to orchestrate and manage complex processes
• Aid in designing service architectures for scalability, reliability, and performance
