Job summary

Hypori is seeking a Senior Cloud Ops Engineer to architect, build, and evolve a secure, scalable cloud platform powering our SaaS offering. This role blends hands-on cloud ops with architectural judgment across AWS and AWS GovCloud, driving IaC, observability, CI/CD, and security-driven designs.

You will own high‑impact infrastructure problems, mentor engineers, and set technical direction while participating in a 24/7 on‑call rotation in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on cloud infrastructure experience.
• 8+ years in Cloud Ops, SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering with senior ownership.
• Deep AWS expertise (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS, EFS, Route 53, CloudWatch); GovCloud preferred.
• Proven multi-account AWS environments and landing zone design experience.
• Expert-level IaC (Terraform and/or CloudFormation) with reusable modules.
• Production-grade Kubernetes and Docker with architectural judgment.
• CI/CD architecture with GitHub Actions and Jenkins; modern deployment patterns.
• Experience in regulated environments (FedRAMP, DoD SOC2) and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and operation of secure, scalable AWS/AWS GovCloud infra for Hypori SaaS.
• Define IaC standards, reusable modules, and governance patterns.
• Drive platform reliability, scalability, and capacity planning; set SLA/SLO targets.
• Lead 24/7 observability strategy across Datadog/Splunk/Prometheus/Grafana/ELK.
• Act as incident commander; perform RCA and systemic remediation.
• Design and implement CI/CD platforms and deployment automation.
• Lead Kubernetes/Docker orchestration and scaling decisions.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical bar across the org.
• Collaborate with Security/Compliance for FedRAMP/DoD SOC2 readiness.
• Plan disaster recovery, RTO/RPO validation, and cost optimization.
