Job summary

Hypori, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Ops Engineer to architect and evolve secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for our SaaS platform across AWS and AWS GovCloud.

You will own high-impact infra problems, guide technical direction, and drive IaC, observability, CI/CD, and operational maturity, mentoring engineers and partnering with Security and Compliance. This role demands hands-on expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and incident leadership, with 24/7 on-call responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on cloud infra experience (SRE/DevOps).
• 8+ years in Cloud Ops, SRE, DevOps, or Infra Eng with senior/architectural ownership.
• Deep AWS expertise (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS, EFS, Route 53, CloudWatch); GovCloud experience preferred.
• Experience designing multi-account AWS environments and landing zone frameworks (AWS LZA).
• Proven Infrastructure as Code expertise (Terraform and/or CloudFormation) with reusable modules and standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and operation of secure, scalable AWS and AWS GovCloud infrastructure for the Hypori SaaS platform end-to-end.
• Set technical direction for Infrastructure as Code; establish org-wide standards, modules, and governance.
• Drive reliability, scalability, and capacity; help define SLA/SLO targets.
• Lead end-to-end observability strategy across Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
• Serve as incident commander for high-severity production events; drive RCAs and systemic remediation.
• Design and implement CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Code Pipeline) and deployment patterns.
• Lead containerized workloads on Kubernetes and Docker; make orchestration and scaling trade-offs.
• Identify architecture bottlenecks early and design systems to eliminate them.
• Partner with Security and Compliance to implement secure-by-design infra for FedRAMP, DoD IL5, SOC 2 Type 2.
• Own disaster recovery and business continuity; validate RTO/RPO targets.
• Identify and implement cloud cost optimization at design level with measurable controls.
• Mentor engineers and shape technical standards across the org.
• Lead cross-team resolution of systemic issues with mapped improvements.
