Job summary

Embrace Software Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to own production uptime, backups and recovery for Hirezon's platform in a remote capacity.

You will manage Windows Server, SQL Server, and infrastructure across private and public clouds, improving automation and operational reliability. This hands-on role requires diagnosing failures, performing backups and restores, and contributing to infrastructure architecture while documenting runbooks for seamless handoffs and SOC

Qualifications

• 7+ years administering Windows Server in production for a SaaS, enterprise or hosted application environment.
• Hands-on SQL Server operations including backups, restores, point-in-time recovery and agent jobs.
• Windows failover clustering, Active Directory, Group Policy and service-account dependencies.
• Strong production operations experience including monitoring, incident response, change management and capacity planning.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS; private cloud familiarity.
• TLS/certificate management, DNS, CDN/WAF, and security practices.
• SIEM/XDR/MDR or log tooling experience and automation scripting (PowerShell).
• On-call and weekend availability for production support.

Responsibilities

• Production availability: monitoring, alerting, incident triage and on-call participation.
• SQL Server operations: backups, restores, maintenance, capacity planning and clustering.
• Backup and disaster recovery: regular restores, offsite backups, recovery objectives.
• Windows and hosted infrastructure: Active Directory, clustering, storage, compute, lifecycle management.
• CloudOps: design and evolve private/public cloud infrastructure, compute, storage and networking.
• Infrastructure planning and capacity: monitor utilization, forecast needs, identify constraints.
• Cost optimization: review utilization and opportunities to reduce hosting costs.
• Documentation: runbooks and architecture diagrams for cross-team use.
• Web/app tier: TLS, DNS, domain management, server upgrades; SSO integration.
