We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Network and On-premises Engineer to join a Network Triage and Troubleshooting Team (NTT) responsible for triaging and troubleshooting high-severity issues impacting internal and external customers. Issues may range from network device outages and application slowness to connectivity problems, storage issues, and intermittent network disruptions. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of fundamental networking technologies, network security, software-defined networking, infrastructure as code, and extensive experience with at least one cloud service provider (CSP). The role requires an engineer who can quickly identify and mitigate issues to provide an excellent customer experience while continuously learning, creating, and improving technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage and troubleshoot high-severity infrastructure and network issues impacting internal and external customers.

• Diagnose issues including network device outages, application slowness, connectivity problems, storage issues, and intermittent network disruptions.

• Identify, mitigate, and resolve complex network and infrastructure problems as quickly as possible.

• Design, implement, and support cloud network and on-premises infrastructure.

• Apply strong knowledge of fundamental networking technologies and network security concepts to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Support virtual network and security constructs across AWS and/or Azure environments.

• Work with cloud networking and security constructs, including DMZ architectures.

• Troubleshoot IP routing, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, DNS, and related network technologies.

• Develop infrastructure automation and software solutions using Python.

• Apply Infrastructure as Code practices to improve consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency.

• Utilize Python, Ansible, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) programming to automate infrastructure operations.

• Integrate cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) services with enterprise network and infrastructure environments.

• Support IT Service Management (ITSM) practices, including Change, Incident, and Problem Management.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and operations teams to identify root causes and implement permanent solutions.

• Continuously improve network reliability, performance, security, and customer experience.

• Explore and adopt emerging technologies, including serverless, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, security, and architecture.

• Strong infrastructure software development and automation skills using Python.

• Demonstrated experience with virtual network and security constructs in AWS and/or Azure.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud technologies.

• Expertise in cloud networking and security constructs, including DMZ environments.

• Proven in-depth knowledge of IP routing, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and DNS.

• Knowledge of cloud PaaS service integration.

• Experience with ITSM practices, including Change, Incident, and Problem Management.

• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code practices.

• Experience with Python, Ansible, and/or SDN programming.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Network security experience and relevant certifications.

• Extensive experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud networking and security.

• Experience with software-defined networking and infrastructure automation.
