Job summary

Meta is seeking a senior networking software lead to own the design, development, and rollout of our cloud-native host networking platform. You will drive technical direction for Kubernetes networking, network virtualization, load balancing, and distributed firewalling, coordinating with compute, storage, platform, security, hardware, and open-source partners.

The role requires a strong background in production networking dataplane/control-plane systems, extensive C/C++, scripting, and test

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 10 years of relevant software development experience (or a PhD and 4+ years).
• 4+ years designing and shipping production networking dataplane or control-plane systems.
• Production Kubernetes networking experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and a scripting language.
• Test automation experience.
• Record of cross-disciplinary technical delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and production rollout of Meta’s cloud-native host networking platform, including Kubernetes networking, network virtualization, load balancing, and distributed firewalling.
• Set technical direction, deliver iterative production milestones, and coordinate with compute, storage, platform, security, hardware, and open-source partners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable networking solutions.
