Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Network Developer – Topology Scaling in Nashville/Austin or near data center locations. You will lead capacity expansion, automation, and deployment for a highly reliable cloud network across global data centers.

Responsibilities include designing, deploying, and operating large-scale networks, developing runbooks, mentoring engineers, and coordinating with automation teams to drive network tooling and telemetry improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in large ISP or cloud provider environments.
• Hands-on exposure to commodity Ethernet hardware (Broadcom, Mellanox).
• Deep knowledge of routing and transport protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, MPLS.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops advanced network fabric and systems for large-scale cloud networks.
• Validates production networks and develops scaling strategies.
• Participates in network solution and architecture design/validation.
• Identifies and assesses risks in network design and mitigation.
• Collaborates with vendors and internal groups to ensure hardware, firmware, software, and cloud network code.
• Develops playbooks for investigations to resolve network issues.
• Analyzes network workflows and proposes optimizations for performance and efficiency.
• Automation: builds modules within automation frameworks to enhance testing and operations.
• Automates critical network tasks and builds dashboards and telemetry systems.
• Mentors junior engineers and contributes to roadmap discussions and RCA documentation.
