Job summary

Oracle in Nashville is seeking an experienced Senior Network Development Engineer to own the lifecycle of circuits, fiber, and data center interconnects. You will lead across engineering and external providers to translate requirements into deployable solutions and drive production readiness.

You will troubleshoot Layer 1–3 connectivity, perform turn-up and acceptance, and mentor junior engineers while helping to raise technical standards and create scalable automation and runbooks for

Qualifications

• Experience in hyperscale cloud, ISP, data center, or large-scale enterprise networking.
• Strong understanding of Layer 1, 2, and 3 networking.
• Proficient in reading network diagrams and engineering designs.
• Hands-on troubleshooting across fiber, optical, Ethernet, routing, and provider networks.
• Scripting experience, preferably Python, or similar language.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for delivery and activation of network connectivity for OCI regions and AI infrastructure.
• Translate designs into technical requirements for carriers and providers.
• Support circuit delivery, fiber, wavelengths, optical transport, Internet transit, and data center interconnects.
• Review requirements, demarcation, handoffs, and paths before implementation.
• Validate infrastructure against engineering requirements before handoff.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues across Layer 1–3 and provider networks.
• Perform or support circuit turn-up, activation, and remediation.
• Coordinate resolution across OCI teams, data centers, and external providers.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise technical standards across NAT.
• Develop standards, runbooks, and acceptance criteria; participate in design reviews.
