Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Network Developer for the Region Build team to design, deploy, and operate large-scale global cloud networks across a broad set of data centers and regions. You will drive automation, architect scalable services, and mentor engineers to sustain high availability and performance.

Responsibilities include leading changes, collaborating with vendor teams, and shaping the product roadmap while ensuring robust security and network operations across a multi-cloud backbone.

Qualifications

• Experience in large ISP or cloud provider environments.
• Hands‑on exposure to commodity Ethernet hardware (Broadcom, Mellanox).
• Deep knowledge of routing and transport protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS‑IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, MPLS.
• Experience with Internet peering, inter‑domain networking, and VPN/SSL technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python preferred) and datacenter design.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks, network modeling (YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF), and telemetry systems.
• Strong understanding of network security design, system performance testing, and operational monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to influence product direction and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in network lifecycle management through build and upgrade projects.
• Define milestones and deliverables with program and project managers.
• Execute network changes using existing procedures and develop new ones as needed.
• Serve as a technical lead on team projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to solution and architecture design and develop standalone features.
• Support operational rotations and post-event root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with automation services to develop tooling and scripting for routine tasks.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve software bugs and qualify new firmware/OS.
