Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) DR25 is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate resilient data-center networks in Nashville. This hands-on role owns defined network projects from design through production handoff, working with automation, cloud networking, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Eight years of relevant network-engineering experience
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 through Layer 4 networking and related protocols
• Experience designing, deploying, or operating data-center, cloud, service-provider, or large-enterprise networks
• Hands-on automation of network provisioning using Python or another programming language
• Experience with Git, APIs, CI/CD workflows, configuration modeling, or infrastructure-as-code practices
• Ability to work independently, manage milestones and dependencies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate resilient Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4 network services for DR25 data-center environments
• Own defined network projects end to end, including requirements, design, implementation, validation, deployment, and handoff
• Develop IP-addressing plans and routing policies using BGP, OSPF, IPv4, IPv6, ECMP, and high-availability routing
• Develop repeatable network designs and validation procedures for modular region deployment and expansion
• Integrate physical network with cloud virtual networking and service connectivity
• Produce network automation and validation tooling using Python, APIs, Git workflows, and CI/CD
• Perform change management with validated procedures and rollback plans
• Create design documents, diagrams, and runbooks; contribute to reviews and standards
• Mentor peers and collaborate across teams; use AI-assisted tools responsibly
