Job summary

IBSS is seeking a Senior Network & Telecom Engineer to lead the design and implementation of modern IP communications for the ASOS program, based in Silver Spring, MD with visits to Sterling, VA. You will oversee telecom circuits, vendor relationships, and cloud networking architecture across multiple federal sites.

The role requires strong expertise in AWS networking, Terraform/CloudFormation, security and DR planning, and DoD/8570-compliance awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Advanced degree in Information Systems or Network Architecture often preferred for Level 4.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II/III certifications often required for government-contracted positions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement modern IP communication systems to replace legacy copper.
• Coordinate with government telecom vendor for circuits provisioning.
• Manage EIS contract task orders and billing analysis.
• Ensure redundancy and disaster recovery planning.
• Maintain documentation for all network designs and site metadata.
