Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cloud Network Architect to lead secure multi-cloud networking for the DoD-focused Cloud One Next program. You will design architectures across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI, define standards, and drive automation with Terraform and Ansible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 12–15 years of related experience (or equivalent).
• Extensive enterprise-scale network architecture design and operation experience.
• Experience designing cloud network architectures across multiple CSPs (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI).
• Advanced cloud networking concepts: VPC/VNet, transit networks, private connectivity, DNS, NAT, load balancing.
• TCP/IP routing expertise: BGP, route propagation, route filtering, CIDR planning, IPAM.
• Strong network security architecture knowledge, Zero Trust, encryption, segmentation, firewalls.
• Hybrid cloud connectivity design across DoD networks, partner environments, and external services.
• IaC usage: Terraform, Ansible; GitLab CI/CD and configuration management practices.
• High availability across AZs/regions; disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Experience with DoD, RMF, STIGs, NIST controls and secure enclave architectures.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex architectures to engineers, cybersecurity stakeholders, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise network architectures across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
• Develop reusable reference architectures and design patterns for cross-CSP consistency.
• Architect secure cross-cloud connectivity between cloud environments, DoD networks, and external services.
• Define enterprise routing, IPAM, segmentation, and trust-boundary strategies.
• Partner with cybersecurity to implement Zero Trust, firewall policies, encryption, and traffic inspection.
• Design highly available, fault-tolerant architectures with DR and continuity plans.
• Implement IaC provisioning using Terraform and Ansible within GitLab-based workflows.
• Establish network observability, monitoring, telemetry, and troubleshooting across CSPs.
• Review changes for governance, security, and alignment with enterprise architecture.
• Serve as senior technical advisor to cloud, network, cybersecurity, and DoD programs.
• Evaluate cloud networking technologies to improve scalability, security, and automation.
