Job summary

Cohesity is seeking a highly skilled engineer to design, develop, and deliver cloud-native SaaS products. You will help build large-scale distributed data platforms and high-performance services powering a modern data ecosystem.

The role emphasizes scale, reliability, and operational excellence in a multi-cloud environment, with onsite two days per week in Santa Clara. Strong coding in C++/Go/Java and deep system design are required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• 7+ years of back-end software development experience
• Expert-level programming and debugging skills in C++, Go
• Proven expertise in building cloud-native, distributed systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing
• Strong knowledge of system performance and scaling
• Familiarity with AWS ecosystem - S3, SQS, AWS data protection services
• Proven skills to solve complex problems.
• Experience with debugging and diagnosing production software.
• Ability to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment
• Possess excellent communication and sharp analytical abilities
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver next-generation SaaS products on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Architect and implement large-scale distributed data systems for performance, scalability and reliability.
• Design and operationalize high-performance microservices and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams on technical and business strategy.
• Drive test-driven development and delivery of high-quality features.
• Foster a culture of ownership and accountability across teams.
• Participate in Agile development processes.
