Job summary

Gainwell Technologies seeks a Senior Professional Software Engineer to design, build, test, and operate secure software for Medicaid DDI programs and modernized Provider Plus capabilities. You will work with cloud-native architectures and AI tooling to accelerate delivery while owning design, security, and maintainability.

The role emphasizes REST/contract-first APIs, multi-tenant systems, and AWS-based workloads, with a strong focus on automation, testing, and production readiness.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience delivering enterprise applications, integrations or cloud-native services; Medicaid/MMIS/MES experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SOLID, distributed systems, microservices, event-driven design and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Develop React/TypeScript micro-frontends and .NET/C# microservices, serverless services and REST APIs.
• Build multi-tenant capabilities with tenant isolation and feature flags.
• Develop PostgreSQL solutions and AWS workloads using Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, Glue/Spark, MSK/Kafka, EKS.
• Implement REST, event, queue, batch, and managed file-transfer integrations including SOAP/WCF adapters.
• Create Terraform and CI/CD assets for automated build, test, security scanning, deployment and promotion.
• Implement automated tests, observability, secure logging, code reviews and production-readiness controls.
