Jefferson Health seeks an Expert Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable, secure software solutions across modern cloud-native environments. You will drive technical excellence, optimize performance, and review complex architectures while mentoring peers and collaborating with stakeholders.

The role emphasizes hands-on software development, cloud platforms, IaC, and robust security practices across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or 10 years preferred work experience.
• 7 years in software development, including distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Expert proficiency in programming languages and API development (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript; REST/gRPC).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Databases (SQL/NoSQL) and advanced data management practices.
• Security principles, authentication, authorization, and compliance best practices.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and pipelines (CI/CD, monitoring, logging).
• Strong collaboration and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design complex, scalable systems; review code; maintain technical docs and diagrams.
• Resolve challenging issues; optimize performance; lead root cause analysis and improvements.
• Build cloud-native solutions; support CI/CD, automation, containerization; assist infra provisioning and monitoring.
• Apply security best practices; mitigate risks; ensure standards compliance.
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver solutions; manage vendor integrations and evaluations.
• Mentor engineers; foster collaboration, innovation and continuous learning.
