Oracle is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability of OCI GoldenGate and OCI Database Migration Service. You will lead operational health, drive continuous improvement, and partner with software teams to enhance architecture and scalability in Oracle Cloud environments.

The role emphasizes automation, observability, and end-to-end service ownership with opportunities to influence platform evolution across global deployments.

Formación

• Requires 7+ years of production engineering experience in distributed services or cloud platforms.
• Automation experience with scripting languages (bash, Python, etc).
• Solid understanding of software engineering and computer science principles.
• Strong Linux systems engineering foundation.
• Solid understanding of networking, security and storage concepts.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible).
• Experience building fully automated CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Hudson, TeamCity).
• Ability to define KPIs and business metrics, and operate cloud services at scale (AWS/Azure/OCI).

Responsabilidades

• Operate and support production cloud services powering critical migration and data replication workloads.
• Monitor service health, investigate incidents, and lead complex troubleshooting tasks.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews with corrective actions.
• Act as escalation point for unresolved issues and guide SOP development.
• Collaborate with software teams to improve architecture, reliability, and scalability.
• Design and implement automation to reduce operational overhead and improve efficiency.
• Build and maintain observability solutions including monitoring, logging, dashboards, and metrics.
• Support capacity planning, DR readiness, and resilience initiatives.
