Job summary

VetJobs is seeking a visionary full stack engineer to join a technology transformation initiative in St. Louis. You will design and deploy cloud-native APIs, microservices, and PaaS/SaaS platforms, working with AI-powered tooling to accelerate development.

You will lead architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product managers and partners to define roadmaps while delivering highly scalable solutions in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of professional software development experience.
• Frontend tech: React/Angular/Vue, HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript.
• Backend: Node.js, Python, Go, or Java; RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Cloud: Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• IaC: Terraform or CloudFormation; CI/CD with GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab CI.
• Databases: SQL and NoSQL (Spanner DB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver cloud-native solutions for complex business problems.
• Develop scalable APIs and microservices on public cloud infrastructure.
• Champion AI code-assist tools to accelerate development and quality.
• Lead cross-functional teams and drive architectural decisions.
• Define engineering metrics and ensure security, quality, and FinOps practices.
