ByteDance’s Global Traffic Infrastructure (GTI) team designs and operates infra components for global edge PoPs, focusing on performance, reliability and security using Kubernetes and cloud-native stacks.

The role drives end-to-end delivery from requirements to production rollout, builds observability and automation, and collaborates with SRE, platform and product teams to provide scalable, cost-effective traffic infrastructure for edge services.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and backend/system development in Go/C/C++/Rust.
• Hands-on production experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native stack, containers/virtualization and networks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate infra components for global edge PoPs (Kubernetes/control plane, virtualization, Ingress/Gateway).
• Drive end-to-end delivery of cloud-native features from requirements to production rollout and optimization.
• Build observability for cloud-native components and improve incident response through automation.
• Collaborate with SRE, platform and product teams to provide standardized features and reusable capabilities.
