Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Cloud-Native Architect to lead architecture and modernization of enterprise-scale applications. You will drive microservices, Kubernetes, and cloud-native platform strategies across multiple teams.

The role requires 10+ years in software engineering, deep microservices and DDD experience, and strong leadership and mentoring skills. Fully remote in the U.S. with direct W2 employment and a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with architecture and cloud-native design.
• Deep expertise in microservices, DDD, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, containers, Docker, and cloud-native platforms.
• Proficient in one or more backend languages (Java/Go/C#/Python).
• Experience with API design, asynchronous messaging, and distributed apps at scale.
• Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP; IaC tools like Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise-wide microservices architecture standards and domain boundaries.
• Lead modernization of monolithic apps into scalable cloud-native services.
• Design secure, resilient distributed systems with REST, gRPC, and event-driven patterns.
• Establish API governance, versioning, and service lifecycle practices.
• Architect systems with patterns like circuit breakers, CQRS, Event Sourcing, Outbox.
• Define data ownership, distributed transactions, and scalable persistence.
• Build cloud-native platform capabilities: Kubernetes, service mesh, IAM, observability.
• Drive CI/CD, GitOps, IaC, automated testing, and deployment strategies.
• Define monitoring using distributed tracing, logging, metrics, SLOs/SLIs.
• Collaborate with security for Zero Trust, secrets management, compliance, governance.
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor engineers; evaluate new cloud-native tech.
