Job summary

Mount Indie seeks a Senior Cloud Java Developer to support application development and modernization efforts. The role focuses on C++ development with Java exposure in Linux/RHEL environments; onsite in Fort Worth, TX with an active secret clearance.

You will collaborate with engineers to design, implement, and optimize mission-critical software, perform debugging, integrate components, and document best practices in a DoD-like setting.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• Strong experience with C++ application development.
• Experience developing applications using Java.
• Experience working in Linux/RHEL environments.
• Familiarity with RHEL 8 and/or RHEL 10.
• Onsite work in Fort Worth, Texas.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain mission-critical applications using C++ and Java.
• Perform hands-on application development, debugging, troubleshooting, and integration.
• Work with applications that run directly within RHEL-based environments.
• Develop software components that interact with the underlying Linux platform and system resources.
• Collaborate with software engineers, system engineers, and other technical teams to design and implement application solutions.
• Analyze existing applications and codebases to identify opportunities for improvements, modernization, and optimization.
• Troubleshoot application issues and identify root causes across the application and operating system layers.
• Support integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of software applications.
• Work within a secure, enterprise environment while following established development and security practices.
• Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and software development best practices.
