Job summary

Resideo is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to join our dynamic team building cloud-based IoT software for home security and automation. You will design, develop, and integrate backend services and RESTful APIs powering millions of connected devices.

You will own components, implement best practices, participate in agile ceremonies, and collaborate with global teams to deliver high-performance solutions using Azure, microservices, and AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on software development experience in production-grade cloud services (Azure or equivalent).
• Expertise in C#/.NET and .NET Core with strong OO design and deep understanding of .NET internals.
• Experience implementing REST APIs, microservices, messaging patterns and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cosmos, DynamoDB).
• Understanding of identity management (Auth0, OAuth2, Azure AD) and authorization frameworks.
• Ability and willingness to provide L3 support in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly available, low-latency backend cloud services powering Resideo’s connected products and customer-facing applications.
• Design, build and integrate RESTful APIs, backend services, and cloud-native components.
• Take ownership of software components’ design, driving development with best-in-class engineering practices including unit testing, static code analysis, and cybersecurity compliance.
• Integrate the latest technology stacks into solutions within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Lead technical innovation by identifying opportunities for improvement and applying deep software engineering principles to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, technical teams, and customer operations to deliver exceptional user experience.
• Foster growth and innovation by collaborating with top engineers and leveraging advanced AI tools.
• Engage actively in agile ceremonies and provide technical guidance to resolve customer issues.
