Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company is seeking a cloud engineer to deploy, provision, and optimize cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud services to internal stakeholders and clients, using IaC and scripting to automate provisioning and configuration.

The role requires 8–15 years IT experience with cloud engineering and strong knowledge of IAM, storage, and security across providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience required.
• CSP Associate cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, OCI, or Google Cloud preferred.
• Professional level certification a plus.
• 8–15 years IT experience with a mix including cloud engineering.
• 3–4 years cloud engineering with vendor platforms; 4+ years Windows/Linux admin.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, provision, harden, and optimize cloud infrastructure and services.
• Build and deploy new cloud-based computing services at scale for clients.
• Design stable, secure compute/storage/network specs for cloud ops.
• Manage IAM, security groups, and CSP native services.
• Use IaC, CI/CD, and architecture reviews to manage cloud infra.
• Develop scripts/templates for provisioning resources.
• Translate high-level objectives into technical requirements.
• Review requirements with project teams for deployment and support.
• Create documentation for cloud infrastructure best practices.
• Liaise with clients to ensure needs are met and identify new services.
