IBM Software is seeking a senior infrastructure engineer to design, build, and operate the cloud-scale foundation powering Confluent Cloud workloads. You’ll work with Go, Java, and Python across Kubernetes operators, cloud platforms, and Linux systems to shape scalable, reliable services.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, own critical infrastructure lifecycle, and participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation, ensuring secure, observable, and highly available systems at scale.

Qualifikationen

• Strong programming skills in Go, Java, or Python with understanding of large-scale systems.
• Hands-on Kubernetes production experience and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Expertise in GitOps, Terraform, CI/CD, observability, and reliability practices.
• Collaborative, ownership mindset and ability to work in a distributed team.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and evolve internal infrastructure services in Go, Kubernetes operators.
• Own cloud infrastructure security, scalability, observability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers to enable fast, safe deployment via platform tooling.
• Manage full lifecycle: availability, performance, monitoring, incidents, capacity.
• Work at scale across tens of thousands of instances and multiple regions.
• Participate in 8-hour, on-call rotation following the sun.
