Job summary

SAP SE in Reston, VA is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Development Engineer to join the Sovereign Cloud Technology & Engineering unit. You will design, develop, deploy, upgrade and manage the SMS platform and services across a global distributed team.

You will drive standardized processes, identify operational gaps, and orchestrate backup and disaster recovery drills. Strong knowledge of Terraform/Ansible and cloud platforms is essential, with English fluency required.

Qualifications

• Ability to take a technical approach to design specifications of our large-scale network.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex authentication issues.
• Capability to influence without formal authority.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
• English (fluent) required, German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and project management to ensure user and operator needs are considered in new products/releases.
• Definition of operations model/operational processes and procedures.
• Produce documentation for processes and procedures.
• Define and execute technical tasks with a moderate level of complexity independently within the assigned functional areas of responsibility.
