Job summary

Dexian in Addison, IL is seeking a Sr Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud environments across Azure and Google Cloud Platform, while supporting on‑premises systems.

This hands-on role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, automation via PowerShell and Bash, and experience with Windows and Linux servers, networking, and identity services. Hybrid work with 3 days on-site (Tue–Thu).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems engineering / infrastructure administration (Windows, Linux, virtualization).
• 5+ years building infrastructure in Azure and/or GCP.
• Demonstrated hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Solid networking, storage, and Active Directory fundamentals.
• Experience operating hybrid environments spanning on-prem and cloud.

Responsibilities

• Administer, patch, and harden Windows Server and Linux systems across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Define and maintain Terraform configuration modules, state, standards, and Git-based deployment workflows.
• Manage virtualization, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, certificates, and core infrastructure services.
• Provision and operate Azure and GCP compute, storage, networking, identity, and hybrid connectivity.
• Build secure cloud landing zones, support workload migrations, and optimize cost, tagging, and resource hygiene.
• Automate configuration and operational tasks with PowerShell, Bash, and IaC practices.
• Monitor systems, respond to alerts, support incidents, and ensure uptime, performance, capacity, and security.
