Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a backend software engineer with 4+ years of experience to help build scalable, highly available distributed systems powering our public cloud platform. You will work across AWS, GCP, Azure, and other environments, delivering automation and resilient services using Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD practices.

You will contribute in Java, Golang, Python, or Ruby, with a focus on concurrency, data management, and telemetry.

Qualifications

A related technical degree is required.
4+ years backend software development experience.
Deep knowledge of programming in Java, Golang, Python, or Ruby.
Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a critical service.
Experience with Agile development methodology and Test Driven Development.
Experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, and reporting applications.

Responsibilities

Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools, frameworks, workflows, and validation platforms.
Design, develop, debug, and operate resilient distributed systems across data centers.
Use and contribute to open source technology (Spinnaker, Zookeeper, etc.).
Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
Write microservices on Kubernetes or Docker.
